first of all: Lyx is a nice piece of code! I enjoy using it!
Well, I am one of those guys that do not have any time to contribute
anything to Lyx except for additional work to the developers. Shame on
me!
Here are my proposals for new features:
1. When generating DVI or Postscript files, paragraphs of type
"comment" are not included as they are just comments. However,
for company internal discussions it would be nice if comments
were included in draft papers. Hence I would like to propose
a print option for including/excluding comments in the output.
2. If you want to make a reference, you have to set a label before.
Wouldn't it be nice, if some generic labels were created
automatically for special paragraphs such as sections, chapter,
figures, etc.?
I think the first feature could be implemented very easily and greatly
enhanced the usability of Lyx. The second one is an advanced feature
that is not essential but would be very convenient (you should take a
look at Framemaker where references are treated very intelligently).
