Making a book of poetry, usually one poem per page, so I end up
inserting lots of page breaks. Each poem starts with a title, for which
I generally use subsection*. Now the problem. If I insert a page break
above the subsection* paragraph, all is well. If I insert it at the end
of the previous verse, it looks fine on the LyX screen, and the page
break goes the right place, but the separation between a previous verse
of the poem goes away. Looking at the LyX file with vi, I see that the
/pagebreak has gone in at the beginnig of the verse, where a /newline
was, removing that /newline. I have not yet tried this with Standard
paragraphs. This was on Alice's box which I have not yet upgraded for
1.0.2pre4.
