No, there was no ERT involved. I *think* it was something as
simple as typing an ordinary $ sign, which was not translated
to the correct stuff -- but this is from a very brief look
at an example LyX file I have on another computer -- I'll forward
it later, but be prepared to read some Danish.

Ahh, what are you complaining about? There are only 75,000+ lines
of code - sure you can find a bug if you look around a bit. ;-)
