Of course it can if you are a little creative. And I am when it comes to shifting the work to somebody else. I know that the LyX end would need to be updated to handle this, but doing it this way would solve other problems as well: Overwriting of existing files, copying files around, remembering to delete files, and all that hassle that I'd have to look into. Also, it would naturally add an option for LyX to handle the opening of a document from standard in. Greets, Asger
