On a related note, did you succeed in making your ru.po work? If not,
did you check that it has been installed correctly? You have to modify
configure for that.
And another related note: how do other GNU packages do that? I do not
see any ru transaltion in ABOUT-NLS, but I guess this should exist,
no?
