Hetzner offer affordable servers, while they aren't as cheap as VMs they are
cheaper than most other complete servers and you can run your own VMs on your
Hetzner server as you wish (extra IPv4 addresses cost E1 per month each). The
included recovery environment and automated reboot facility allow you to
recover from most problems easily enough and you can pay extra for KVM if you
want it. Being in Europe they don't have the bandwidth limits we have in
Australia.

What stuff are you looking at doing? Sharing a Hetzner server with other LUV
members would be the most economical way of hosting things.
