James I don't disagree with any of that ;
but the issue is why do phone manufacturers;
need to restrict file system access ?
- is it a warranty insurance issue; ie to do with support ?
- is it to do with the 'patentability' of the device ie to do with the
distinguishably of the device ?
-something else ?
