#1 That's a ridiculous overstatement. #2 You yourself set a very bad advert for the Lubuntu community with such poor netiquette: [a] Never post attachments to mailing lists. [b] Never post HTML email to mailing lists. [c] Restrain yourself from hyperbole and from hostile or attacking messages. [d] Never assume that something that affects you affects everyone. [e] Don't assume that, for instance, something that occurs in a VM occurs on real hardware; they're not the same. #3 This issue is trivially resolved. I've had it myself. Google for assistance or apply some general knowledge before shouting complaints into the void. Apply the standard Linux steps for display corruption: switch to text mode and back. I.e., Ctrl-Alt-F1 to go to a text vconsole, and then Ctrl-Alt-F7 back to the X.org screen. If you're running in VirtualBox, then as you should already know, these keystrokes go to the host OS, so you need to use the VBox host key instead of Ctrl-Alt. I did this, the display cleared, I installed as normal, updated, and all was well. I then installed the VBox guest additions so I got an accelerated display. -- Liam Proven • Profile: http://lproven.livejournal.com/profile Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk • GMail/G+/Twitter/Flickr/Facebook: lproven MSN: lpro...@hotmail.com • Skype/AIM/Yahoo/LinkedIn: liamproven Cell/Mobiles: +44 7939-087884 (UK) • +420 702 829 053 (ČR) -- Lubuntu-users mailing list Lubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/lubuntu-users
