I'll try to check this week. In the meantime, please try to apply this :

If people want stable LXQt, don't use the daily PPA, upgrade to Xenial and
use official repository. Most people should use this, and there is a LXQt
metapackage.

If people want dev version of LXQt (git snapshot), usr the daily PPA and be
prepare for breakages.

Yes daily PPA has issues, but it exists for a long time, before the first
release of LXQt, before Debian packages. Tracking upstream git snapshots
for so long is not so easy :-)
