This could be accomplished with "is malformed".
 
I also wonder if there is some exception that MUST (or MUST NOT) be raised here?
 
Sounds like perhaps malformed things are supposed to be ignored.
 
 Ran: will be changed to: .. If the length is not a multiple of 4 octets, the 
LSA is malformed and MUST be ignored. Please let us know if this addresses your 
concern.
