If we don't discuss real issues we're not gonna improve our communities =)
Hi,
Well, each time I have raised some issue, I just had the feeling it was
useless.
For example, the last one was the 13.04 DVD artwork. Laura did an
amazing job trying to help me, a big hug to her for that, but I clearly
was alone on that one. I'm still waiting for feedback from the design
team ;). I understand it's not a good example, because teams doing their
own DVD are not the standard. And I don't know if lot of users print
their own covers too. I understand also since there is no more DVD
produced, there is no point for Canonical to pay someone to do the
artwork for it. But the consequence is I had to do this work in a hurry,
and I'm a poor designer, trust me, and it take me lot of time to do it.
If someone have the proposition I made on this list, you can see what
nobody even in my team have seen, there is a big mistake on it.
For me, I feel like we always have to do more and more, alone, just for
the love of it. By chance, I'm not doing it for a sheet of paper, but
because I still think Ubuntu is a great distribution to help people
switch from windows or MacOS.
Best regards.
Philippe.
