Before trying to split up the other large files (a fairly large undertaking), I'd still recommend doing the initial thing of dropping the file in a PR (which should be relatively fast) and getting some feedback. ObjectFile plugins are one of the (few) things which I know that can be reasonably split and tested in multiple PRs.
