The price surely sounds right, though... > Since you asked, I checked on the site (I have no affiliation with them so I can't tell you more than what appears on the site). There is one 12.1" model for 2Kg (~3300NIS) another t5600 core duo 12.1" for ~5500NIS, (4.8lb~2.17kg according to the msi site) a 14.1" at 2.1kg for ~3300NIs and another 14.1" at 2.1Kg for 4300 Nis possibly others, I don't know (we bought for my wife a 15.4" wide screen since she preferred the keyboard and the screen and she doesn't carry it much, another friend also got a later mode 15.4" and another one of the 14" ones) The warranty is extendable to 3 years, but that is for service at their site, the international one is only one year (and another at their service center). I didn't need support yet so I can't tell how good it is, I was told that it's ok. The expensive IBM models are the only ones I know with 3 years, but there might be others. Don't know which companies have the 1kg laptops (a former student of mine has one of those, looks nice if you carry it around). They are mostly out of my price, usability and needed cpu power range. BTW, I doubt you will get 8 hours from the MSI, but I may be wrong, and I think that IBM has the smallest and lightest ac adaptor which is also an issue when you take weight into account (unless you only charge the laptop at home). I would stay away from both Sony and HP due to warranty issues (a friend of mine also had serious issues with the lab tech expertise with Toshiba). Also note that according to Sony, Ishpar are not official importers so you can't get warranty repair for internationally bought Sony in Israel, probably the same the other way around (Sony USA charged once 250$ to repair a laptop under warranty that Ishpar didn't know how to repair, and it took them 5 months) > > > Or, if there is any of you, who knows a sure legal route to the refund > > > in Israel (similar to the UK-specific story > > > http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6144782.stm ), please tell us.
