On one hand HP, at least in Israel, used to "provide" (for want of a better verb) atrocious support for their laptops. On the other hand, they (Bdale Garbee, HP Linux CTO) declared a few weeks ago that they will/began improve support for Linux on their laptops (in terms of service, not just software). So maybe they worth another look after all. --Amos
