Hello list, This is Eli Billauer in exile.
I've been at this list for a few months now. I've seen quite "interesting" responses to postings, but being kicked out was more than I expected. I'm sorry not to have followed the Holy Rules, but I'm subscribed to several lists, and not being a lawyer, I have problems with remembering the Rules of several lists. And since I just re-subscribed, I got a link to the Rules (welcome to linux-il), which is broken. I've failed to find the complete Rules for reference otherwise. I sent my posting to a mailing list, which is loaded with irrelavant discussions about almost anything. Following the Rules or not, I sent this posting, because I was confident that it would do good to some people, and not bother others. I wish that others would follow the same simple principle. > 1. posting off topic Did I invent that? It clearly says it isn't a SCSI cable issue. > 2. job offer post not according to guidelines (4 > violations counted) As mentioned above, I've failed to find them. (Don't appear in http://www.iglu.org.il/mailing-lists/linux-il.html either) BTW, am I the only one who noticed that the famous "B.Sc only" job offer had already been on the list, in another format? > 3. job offer does not mention Linux even once, why > is it here? Is "Linux" as a password? > 4. passing spam/chain mail to the list without > finding out the source > and authenticity is not against the rules but should > be. I believe that anyone who tries any of these offers will find them reliable. This is defenitely not just another chain letter I got. > > I suggest a month's exile. yalla bye. > Yeah, really? Read my lips: You can't *really* kick someone out of a mailing list. In the better case, you'll have a resubscription with a bogus name. In the worst case, someone will waste his own precious time on a revenge. And what did you get from that? Eli __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
