Excellent point. Should be carved above the entrance to linux-il :) But sometimes it surprises me how many people are willing to donate their time on endless bickering on topics like whether a newbie questions was "appropriate" or not, or other topics of equal "importance" (like: perl/scheme/java/fortran77 or redhat/debian/etc. - compare and contrast). Anyway, to the original poster: A modern distribution with a modern version of Konqueror will show Hebrew fine. Fine, but not great: stuff like character entities and utf8 Hebrew doesn't seem to be supported correctly, and CSS isn't supported very well (look at nadav.harel.org.il/hindex.html in Mozilla and Konqueror to see what a mess Konqueror makes of it). Note that these features are rarely needed in common Hebrew sites (e.g., your bank's site), so Konqueror will probably work for you - just try! To be able to type Hebrew inside the browser, you'll need to set up your keyboard seperately. See Tzafrir's FAQ on that (on the iglu.org.il site) or the ivrix-discuss archives (ivrix.org.il). -- Nadav Har'El | Wednesday, Jan 16 2002, 4 Shevat 5762 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |----------------------------------------- Phone: +972-53-245868, ICQ 13349191 |Can Microsoft make a product that doesn't http://nadav.harel.org.il |suck?
