pinging is not such a good idea because some sites have that option
blocked (slashdot, for example..)

traceroute shows a problem a bit afer alter.net, which is
the first stop after leaving the iix.
after that, its prety much dead :

maybe that explains why i can only use proxy (most of the time) for world
wide access...

if you are wondering about bezeq's and internet gold's comment to this :

"we are not aware of any kind of a problem..this is happening because you
are using linux, which is not supported by us"..  ;)
