Hello,

After the last few system-updates on my iMac, Lilypond & Frescobaldi have have
had problems with start-up.

Fresobaldi starts, but becomes unresponsive once a file has opened. After I
force-quit, I can start-up again and it will run properly.

Lilypond will not start at all on its own. The Apple system offers a choice to
open a unix window or terminate the program.

I am still able to work, but I'm very worried about losing Lilypond/Fresobaldi
altogether.

I tried to reload both programs from their respective websites, but no effect.
I am strictly a consumer level user, and don't have resources to work with
anything beyond following simple, explicit instructions.

iMac Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019

macOS: Ventura 13.5
Processor: 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Graphics: Radeon Pro 555X 2 GB
Memory: 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

What is the future for Lilypond/Frescobaldi on the Mac platform?

Sincerely,
Zon Dremik
