No, not if the translator fixes a typo and commit it first, which is what I think should be recommended; besides that, it's simpler for the translator to use the same committish for all files (that's actually what I do for the French pages), so I vote for using git rev-parse web/master where web/master is the local name of the remote branch. I've pushed this along with other README improvements. Feel free to undo my changes again (or pester me to do it myself). Speaking of, isn't scripts/rev-to-commit.py supposed to update the committishes automagically?
