            Bug ID: 171525
Summary: Need the ability to assign certain symbols to specific
keystrokes. Either that, or better documentation on
                    how to achieve that.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I want to have a specific keystroke for the em-dash. In Word, it's
CTRL-ALT-NUMPAD DASH.

I see how to assign specific keystrokes to commands, but not to special
characters and symbols. On Word, it's an option when we click on the symbol in
the special characters screen. T

I'm a writer, and I use this often enough that not having this functionality
makes me not want to use LibreOffice Writer.

Actual Results:
Currently have to click on the Symbol, then insert Em-Dash.

Expected Results:
Slows down typing

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Allowed for a keystroke command
