Bug ID: 171524
Summary: MenuText-Color with Win11-ContrastTheme
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Actually it's a Windows bug, but it have effect on Libre Writer. I use an
edited contrast theme in Windows 11, light grey color on dark grey ground. At
least in Writer (i almost just use writer) the background color of the menus
are indeed dark gray, but the color of the text/font is black, not like it
should be light grey. So it's hard to see.
I have a bug like this in other parts of my system, too, like menus in
task-tray. And I know there's a regedit-key I can use to change this color. As
far as I know, it is because Microsoft changed much in handling themes and this
bug - UIs use the wrong color - will be fixed over time.
My request now is, if someone can make it possible to change this color in
Libre Office Writers Options. "There are" options to change colors, but not for
MenuText.
Thanks for Attention.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select Contrast theme in Windows 11 25H2
2. change it to button text 1. Color dark grey 2. light grey
3. in Writer-Options there no way to change menutext color
Actual Results:
1. Select Contrast theme in Windows 11 25H2
2. change it to button text 1. Color dark grey 2. light grey
3. in Writer-Options there no way to change menutext color
Expected Results:
text in menu is black instead of light grey
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
possibility to change the MenuText in Libre Office (Writer) manual
