Hi mate,

How about you simply compare lftp to ncftp and some built-in ftp programs in
whatever OS you use. That way lftp will (ofcourse) look way superior and you
should have the managements blessings instantly.

I cannot see any reason as to find a _commercial_ product doing about the same
as lftp (and most likely worse).

How about you convince your company to donate cash (or something) to Alex - and
maybe that way you could request a certain issue to be taken care of... just
ideas :)

But if you want to find more equivalents - google it? ;)
