For me, I think the important detail is that we extract these packages here, so that the GCC build will automatically pick them up. I think that's clear in the new text. Can we maybe echo the reminder again in Pass 2, e.g replacing: "As in the first build of GCC it requires the GMP, MPFR and MPC packages. Unpack the tarballs and move them into the required directory names:" with: "As in the first build of GCC it requires the GMP, MPFR and MPC packages to be extracted into the GCC source directory.
