 Sorry, it was obvious to me when I wrote it.  The green backgrounds
are graduated from top to bottom of each box.  On a quick glance I
thought the blue ones were too, but now I'm less sure about the main
batch (BLFS ... Patches) - those are ok, it's just the main 'LFS' and
the little 'Search' boxes that I find hard to read.  It's also
possible that it looks different on my other main desktop, certainly I
have to set the brightness slightly differently for the differnet
video card (same monitor).

 I see that all of the main box backgrounds get "washed in white"
(toned down) when I mouse over them, which helps.
