Well, it certainly "does the job". But it looks dated, and overly simplistic. Not that you need anything extravagant, the site should definitely be simple, but it could also stand to be more attractive. The way I see it, changing the look of the site every once in a while helps keep things fresh, and it affects they way newcomers think of the site.
