To add to the fine thoughts expressed by DJ,that the Udev/Bootscript team
(whatever you wanna call it),will also be responsible to provide documentation
and ... perhaps a new book with any relative info that has to do with:

a.'Handling Devises' (udev)
b.'Boot process' (init schemes,bootscripts,bootmanager,etc)
c.'Automounting Devises'
d.'Volumes,raid etc...'
e.'Partitiong schemes,filesystems,etc'
d.'Kernel issues.'

As far it concerns the (a),the current udev documentation written by Mr Daniel
Drake, (which btw is a very fine guy,I had the pleasure to cooperate with him
in gentoo bugzilla once),
doesn't seem to have interest to update it,so in its most part (udev
documentation) is
useless and incompatible with the current udev releases.

So I am pretty sure, that many in the linux-kernel mailing list /Open source
community
will be happy for that kind of effort.

A documentation project, organized and made/executed with the LFS way, which btw
is our real
treasure and our strong point.
LFS_WAY=Personal discipline and love for all we do.
