Seeing how that about 4-5 people have given replies, and there are
4-5 different answers, all different, I think the topic is simply one
that needs to mature a bit. I thought I had something going in my 
mind moving in the right direction, but because of all the different
things being said, it is hard for me at this point to form a definite
theory about this.

I understand all about D-Bus and HAL and how they interoperate and how
HAL doesn't do automounting, it requires a userspace app, etc, etc.

But the "you don't need HAL thing" with others saying the userspace
app is dependent on HAL, just has me totally confused at this point.
