Sorry to be so lame in my knowledge about this stuff, but where does one get inotify.h? And exactly what version of the kernel? I am asking for specifics, not generalities. Not trying to be a PIA here, I'd just like to do some testing. I suppose I could do Googling, but I thought if Andy had it working, he could just say: Do this and do that and presto, it works! :-) And if you had to guess, will this be in LFS soon (the appropriate headers and a kernel that works with inotify). I'm asking all this because I wan't to see what it will take to get KDE and GNOME all working when each is expecting a different API/ABI from DBus/HAL. -- Randy rmlinux: [bogomips 3993.32] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.2] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 17:26:07 up 18 days, 0 min, 4 users, load average: 0.45, 0.16, 0.06 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
