I'm currently building the udev branch of LFS and found that the specs file sed
substitute in chapter 5.7 fails.

I've found that the reason for this is, that the sed substitute looks for
"^/lib", however, in the specsfile created by dumpspecs, "/lib" isn't at the
beginning of a line.
Not sure if it's because I am compiling on a PowerPC platform and if on x86,
"/lib" is at the beginning of the line.

Is there any particular reason why the caret is in the sed pattern? I guess if
that were removed, it would make the compile process compatible with multiple
platforms ... ?
