08:02 <@jim> hey did you see the change the quadrata just made to LFS
08:02 <@jim> Is that a sound toolchain update?
08:03 <@mdh> what did he do?
08:03 <@jim> followed Greg's advice
08:06 <@mdh> I'm gonna have to take a look
08:07 <@mdh> they removed the startfile_prefix_spec
08:07 <@mdh> idiots
08:08 <@ikonia> I don't understand this need to update the toolchain
08:08 <@mdh> why on earth did they remove startfile_prefix_spec
08:08 <@jim> I don't understand the principles of why myself, that's
why I asked Ryan
08:09 <@mdh> cos they dont know what the hell they are doing

Actually, the *startfile_prefix_spec has been gone since September 10 in r4150:

http://svn.linuxfromscratch.org/viewcvs.cgi/trunk/BOOK/chapter06/readjusting.xml?r1=3812&r2=4150&p1=trunk/BOOK/chapter06/readjusting.xml&p2=trunk/BOOK/chapter06/readjusting.xml

I think this has been known for a long time. If this was wrong, why
wasn't there any noise by the Toolchain Maintainer?
