Why do all this? We don't mention that you can use Net-Tools instead of IPRoute and then add a note to the bootscripts page. Is there any difference? However, because it is strictly only needed for UTF-8 compatibility, it wouldn't really be a bad idea, as it keeps you from installing BDB in LFS.
