1) Merge the alphabetical build order branch. If nothing else, this
helps us explain why we build things in the order we do (i.e. fix bug
684). Thanks to Chris Staub's analyses, the dependencies listed
against each package will be more accurate too.
At this point a summary would be in order for those who are getting lost
in the comments there or haven't been keeping up with the branch commits.
Agreed, I've actually lost track of its status too, so I'll have to let
Jeremy get us all up to speed I think :-)
If anyone wants any other features included now's the time to get those
Stands to reason empty out Bugzilla :) Lots of little things are there
now that can easily be taken care of of course.
Sure, I'll hopefully be able to sort most of those out over the coming
week, seeing as how 6.1.1 won't need any more commits until release :-)
At the moment, I'm considering branching off for
stabilisation in around 4 weeks time (though with that being very
close to Christmas, it may slip a little). Only time will tell if
that schedule's too ambitious, but at least it gives us something to
aim for.
I honestly think that's too close to Christmas. This is something better
done soon after the Christmas/New Year break when everybody is back at
it, back from holiday if applicable, things like that.
Break?!? You slacker, G :-) Seriously though, noone should feel any
pressure at all to hit this
Matt-waved-his-hand-and-plucked-a-deadline-out-of-thin-air target, I
*do* understand that this is a volunteer project of course. As Jim's
already done some work toward the udev goal I'm not sure how much is
left to iron out so 4 weeks might be enough, it might not...we'll see.

Matt.
