surely players and staff are all under none-disclosure agreements and anyone else... agents, family & friends etc, well they have no proof so it would stupid for them to say anything to anybody other than to one another.

c'mon... are you seriously suggesting that since bates took over, this hasn't been his plan? blackwell stated that the club's finances would be sorted out this summer. the only way 35 million was going to be sorted out was via administration. that's why he was sacked.

This is a fascinating theory. But as with all conspiracy theories, the part that makes it less than 100 percent believable is all the people who'd have to know about it, and yet none have said a word publicly - all the players; the players' agents; Blackwell and his agent; the backroom staff; all the club employees; random friends and family who were probably told, the list goes on. Surely one of them would have gone to the papers about "Bates' plan to throw the playoff final!"?

Cheers!
Sean

Subject: [LU] quick theory

35 million in debt. Hhhmm…

Blackwell almost got us back into the prem. 35mil debt is more than manageable for a prem team. But as we have been told before, a swift return to the prem would have triggered further payments to creditors who kept the club alive under krasner and co. bates, I’m sure, did not like this idea.

We failed at Wembley at the last hurdle last year and I still believe to this day it was orchestrated. At this stage bates is just 12 months away from the footballing debts of the risdale era being wiped clean. THEN we could go for the prem. But hold on… how do you explain this to the team? What about the players such as gregan, butler, derry etc who were probably thinking “this is my last chance at playing in the prem and the ONLY reason I joined the club? Result... player revolt and Blackwell’s meeting in pre-season where he stated to the board he felt a relegation fight was a real possibility.

Bates’ Solution? Get rid of Blackwell who talks too much and didn’t like to do as he was told and bring in notsowise, who will say all the right things and try and divert the fans attention by moaning every week about refs decisions and creating fake moles etc.

Now… bates might be finally getting what he wanted all along. A debt free leeds united and his very own puppet for a manager.

Just a theory and I don’t think it’s too extreme.

My main worry is this… we will still need investment if we want to get back to the prem in the next 5 years and it seems nobody wants to touch leeds whilst bates is around.

What say you?

Rich
