The crap standard of the county system is the root of our problem - that and a failure by the ECB to recognise that the premier competition in Cricket - the world cup - is the "slogball" version! One-day cricket has moved on through genuine innovators (eg Sri Lanka) - England still play the game as it was played in the 70s.
