One of my other directors has a squeezebox setup. Works fine, but has been
around a while, I would personally still go for some of the newer options
which look like they are hi-fi units and don't rely on PC so much.. and I'm
an IT Manager so its nothing to do with being scared of the technology, just
means I don't get constant hassle from the missus every time she cant play
something.

Not to mention saving the planet by not having the pc chundering away
upstairs all the time!

Do you have a wireless router?

The best option is to go wireless and buy something like the Squeezebox :

It's more "competitively" priced that the Sonos offers.

Anyone know anything about this sort of thing? Have just converted my
basement and rather like the idea of just a control panel and speakers in
a few rooms all connected to my iTunes (Now that I've nearly copied my
1,000+ CD collection onto it, how dull is that job!!!). I've looked at the
Sonos and Opus websites, but don't know what kind of quality they are and
what I would be best looking at.
