Surely major changes to the team will really only happen once the transfer window opens/season ends. The notion that Carver is going to suddenly promote half the stiffs is pretty unlikely. The players we've got may have flaws, but the ones Blackwell played are pretty much the best 11, Crainey aside, who's a complete dollop! Oh, and Douglas who I've never rated, although I believe he speaks highly of me :-).
See the Gruniad's Rumour Mill today again has the Ranieri thread. Like I said before, I like the idea but realistically is he the man to get the most out of this team? It'd have to be something of a gamble?

Let's see what happens over the next few games. I would have thought that
immediate wholesale changes might have an unsettling effect on the team,
but it would not surprise me if Carver started slotting in his preferred
players soon.
