First up, Mickey adams is at Coventry .. you know, the next team to walk all over us and take 3 easy points. 1). As far as I understand, Blackwell has it written into his contract that he doesn't get paid up in full in the event of his contract being terminated. Whether thats true or not, we'll have to see. 2). Curbishly, as I posted a few weeks ago, basically put a "Come and get me" sign up for us and Sunderland (Pre Keane obviously) with that interview in the Times. I mean how obvious does he have to be? He stated he wants to come back into management, the Championship interests him greatly, he wants a challenge and money isn't key he wants to test his coaching skills again.
Although it may feel like I'm repeating it ad nauseum, KB lost it for me late last season when we got within 4 points of the Blunts. He then showed his limitations by not going for the juggular and played defensively. Similar to when Reid staved us from relegation, we made the mistake of keeping him on when we should have said "Thanks Peter, but no thanks" KB has done well for this club (Looking objectively) He has done a difficult job in difficult times, and I would thank him for MOST of that. But now, highlighted painfully by the Cardiff debacle, he's proving week on week that he's taken the club as far as HE can as manager. If we get Curbishley in now, we (hopefully!) get the Keane effect at Sunderland. That boost, that injection of hope and, I suspect, that improvement in morale and motivation of the players. > recently, I would ask................what is Mickey Adams doing these > days?) > > It has got to a point where I would love to see Curleybish installed, > but I just think realistically there are two massive stumbling blocks: > > 1.
