The rumourmill churns out the following as possible successors to KB Curbishley Dave Penny O'Leary Dennis Wise Hoddle Ranieri Newell Sturrock
I think our finances mean we're unlikely to be in a position of paying compensation to a club for a manager in post, which rules out Newell (sadly), Wise (thank God) & Sturrock (thank God) Of the others, I would struggle to feel enthusiastic about Hoddle, I suspect Ranieri wouldn't be interested and he could well find the Championship a struggle. That brings us to Curbs, O'Leary & Penney. O'Leary would bring back some fans, but I don't think he'd do too well for us.
