Oh dear. Now it's obvious that Blackwell has decided
that young Walton is not up to the job but how does it
know this if he hasn't given the bloke chance to play
in his designated position ? All we know of Walton is
that he has heart and fitness and a passion to play
for Leeds ... and now a premiership club wants him.
For me that's got to be worth something and I'd like
to see him given a run with Killa at the back. He is
young and I think playing alongside Killa would be
good for him and Leeds.
Blackwell meanwhile has extended Butler's contract by
a year and plans to play Killa at left back next
season whilst Gregan and Butler continue to exposed by
any attack that have a bit of pace.
For me Walton was never a midfielder but he was worth
is place in the team in midfield over Douglas any day
of the week. Walton covered as much ground as Douglas
but actually managed to get there and put the tackle
in. Douglas went through matches without contributing.
Walton would ensure that he got involved but Blackwell
prefers loan signings who don't give a toss and can't
play to young , raw Leeds players who would die for
the cause.
Blackwell ain't got a clue.
