Richard - I wish I lived in your world - its so simple isnt it mate. Fans
who agree with you are real fans and players are either brillaintor f*cking
shite. Of course once you have decided where each of us fits that the end of
the story.
I'm not sure I qualify for your status as real fan. Current ST holder (yes
renewed again) been a ST holder for 23 of the last 24 years. I get to a few
away games but not as many as I would like.
I have deliberately not got involved in the predictable daitribe that
followed the debarcle in cardiff. I was as gutted as anyone and yes on the
big day Blackwell got it wrong. It seems a lot of Leeds "fans" have shifted
the goalposts though. From being satisfied with reaching the play-offs at
the start of the season apparently automatic promotion was the goal. We made
a good fist of catching the Blunts and fell away, again we get all the crap
about not pressing on. Simple question - were we better last season than the
season before? Answer, yes.
So Blackwell fell at the final hurdle and we throw him out and start all
over again. Great idea, new manager with new ideas and another season to
build things up. This league is crap, Blackie will learn from last season
and with a little strengthening we will get promoted next year. Dont worry
cos if we arent in with a shout at the end of this calendar year Blackie
will be gone anyawy, of that I am certain.
I'm not gong to get involved in your character assasiniations of most of
this team. I'll just say this, the one season I have missed out of the last
24 years was the year we went down. How you can slag off this team against
that shallow, heartless bunch of show ponies is beyond belief. Yes the team
can improve but they give all they have got. I didnt see anyone not trying
agaisnt Watford. If Blackie had picked the right team we would have beaten
them, not easily, but we would have won.
One final point. I rate Killa as highly as anyone, But if I had only been to
one game this season and that had been Coventry away I wouldnt speak so
highly of him. He got a right run around. My point is players at this level
are going to have bad games and be inconsistent - thats why they are playing
at this level. For f*ck sake I hear the legend that is Gary Kelly has had
some good games this year - I just havent been to any of those games.
I'm looking forward to the new season and expect Blackie to take us up.
