The bloke needs to be given a chance to develop the team again this summer.
It would be totally out of order to get rid of him part way through his (and Bates') plans for the side. Why the f#ck should he be penalised for actually over-achieving this season? His first season was all about getting 11 players on to the pitch and not being relegated - he did that. His second season was to revolutionise the squad and to finish top 10 - he did that. His third season is to evolve the squad into a side to finish top 2 or 3. To re-iterate, the team this season was so totally different from the one the previous season that he could not expect it to properly 'gel' until xmas time. He had to do that with a playing system that was effective, and because it WAS effective at picking up enough points, he would have been grossly stupid to change it in any radical way half way through what was turning out to be a successful season. Next season he has no such excuse, so I would expect to see better football and better results. That's what Ken expects to see too. If he cannot do that then your assertion that he has taken us as far as he can may well be proven, but it certainly is not at the moment. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
