I think you are making a good point here, being that there is only one lede list, presently, and devs would like to just see dev related traffic.... Personally I find it incredibly difficult to sort through the patch volume on this (and linux-wireless), and would welcome a forum (web or email) to be able to discuss other matters. I was invited several times by openwrt folk to discuss things on openwrt-hackers, but my applications there were never approved, so I'd hoped that with ledes new governance there'd be a place to do that. irc is difficult for me, as I am I california right now, and I tend to be working with folk in europe, australia, and china. 24 hours is not enough time in the day, so I fall back on async methods like email. Well the cross posting thus far has been kind of limited, and in both contexts there was a potential -dev impact. I personally welcome the light of day being shone on one or more TR-69 implementations whether they end up in openwrt/lede or not. There are certain tricky pieces that I think are desirable (dns delegation being one) that kind of need a back and forth api of some sort, and certainly better queue management as well. As for cleaning up the detritus of the cerowrt effort, which also triggered your hostility, all the *really good stuff* landed in openwrt (and now lede) long ago (good), most of the core cerowrt devs are now openwrt/lede devs (good), and I was trying to clean out the last pieces remaining, which seemed to require some discussion, and a few loose pieces (hncp and mdns proxying, notably), that could use love or the wastebin. I'd meant to re-open an old discussion on stateless firewalling and the use of nftables going fowards, but now I don't know where to start that. As for my last big priority - getting the make-wifi-fast pieces into lede... well, I'm kind of hoping the benefits to this distro being so obvious that people will leap all over it, as soon as it stablizes a bit more in linux mainline.
