It's just amazing that everybody known that the debugger support in Lazarus
and FPC absolutely sucks! Even the crappy Kylix 3 has better debugger
support. Yet those developers that have spare time will rather spend there
time with more IDE eye-candy and other lovely little new IDE features,
instead of getting the core functionality working and stable. With the
Lazarus project, it is all about *adding more new features*, instead of
fixing up what already exists.
Everybody do what they want and can do.
As for the Duby project. I have tested it frequently and tried to
contribute some minor patches here and there. Unfortunately my
understanding of debuggers and debugger formats are near zero - I'm an
application developer after all.
And we are (lazarus developers) not application developers you think? Do you think I know much about debugging formats? Know how to fix that drawf or stabs? No, although I tried. Lazarus gdb interface has been written by a lazarus developer and Duby has been written also by a lazarus developer. I don't remember much patches from the community into that part of lazarus. Also some debugger related patches was contributed to fpc project by lazarus developers.

So please don't try and imply that I am one of those "leachers" that just
use software and don't contribute.
I did not imply that to you. I just said that you can't blame others because they don't do something you need because they do something else.

Best regards,
Paul Ishenin.
