i can try to help, i know the tvs50 well,
assuming you have the 824 set to talk to the s50 (i think there was a
bastard ta setting that made the ta do a psudo digital integration,
passing the audio on pair one and the apits control on pair two)

typcal scheme for the s50,
pick a customer service prompt (say 10- to RING phone-day-), record your
"this is abc, for jim, dial 101, for mike dial 103, for location dial 9"
in c/s menu 10.
do same thing for cs @11 (to leave msg in mailbox-nite-) same recording
in c/s menu11

set the port 1&2 day service to cs 10 , nite service to cs 11

set your day night timer if the ksu can't set the s50 mode (hint, can
the ksu set the s50 clock? if not, it can't change day/nite either! do
either have break/lunch modes? that was the version that supported s5
clock traking the ksu.

now, in cust service settings (laptop) set dial anytime= ext for cs 10,
and =mbx for cs 11
set digit delay for ~ 3 sec
no dtmf to a default ext or mbx
set button 9 to cs 20 (and record cs 20 with location etc.) all other
buttons might be "repeat" # migh be disconnect

you don't need btn9=cs20
you can get away without cs 11, but then all calls will ring the ext,
time out, and then select "leave a msg" (your pressing 1 problem)
you can eliminate the 1 by going into each mail box, auto attn stat or
incomplete call janfling and turn off all the options (call opr/select
another ext, etc)

hope that might give you a start, there are many ways of doing this.
