After experimenting further, by switching the input cables of the port card, the problem stayed in the same place, (Jack 8 of the PBX). I am using Jacks 7 & 8 both for the VPS. Jack 7 for the home line and extensions, Jack 8 for the business line and extensions. I discovered that when I turned off Jack 8 for VPS both lines would answer correctly with 5 rings and then get sent back to the VPS for voice mail. With Jack 8 set for a VPS to either port one or two after VPS transfer the ringing pattern changes. The first ring is a double ring, then the next ring is half of a double ring and it then changes to long rings as if the PBX has taken control away from the VPS. As it is Jack 8 allows an extension to ring 8 times before the VPS picks it back up again, where as Jack 7 picks up in 5 rings. Maybe the TA824 was not meant to be configured this way. CO1 assigned to Jack 7 and CO2 assigned to Jack 8. Is it possible that CO2 would work correctly Jack 15 instead? This might be an expensive experiment to find out by purchasing the other CO/extension card to find out. I wonder if there is anything I missed in the TA824 installation manual.
Will I be calling customer support, waiting for quite a while only to get a smug Nooo Yawkah? <big wink> _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
