In EU, the parts for KX-TD816 / 1232 are definitive out. Only parts as KX-T7533 phones are available. Pana did a broadcast for aprox. ¾ year ago that both types(parts for PBX´s) are going out of production including parts (even spareparts!) Well, the reason is clear, they want us to sell the TDA-products even for the little customer who wants to extend with a extra CO-line. Well result is, Pana is loosing marketposition on this issue, had several customers who did buy another, cheaper product, as a direct result of this. When I spoke to a high level exec at pana last week he said that they have a shortage of parts to make several of the older products i.e. 7400 series phones. This is because the government is requiring not using the parts with lead/Mercury pollution within 2 years and pana has met the deadline much sooner. They are required by law to make spare replacement parts and phones available for 7 years after a product is discontinued. IF not they will be open for a class action lawsuit. It's the law. Now if they can only create a multi cell solution for the KX-TA824 ahead of schedule!
