Checked it a little more closely today, the problem is not actually the ring, it's the off hook connection that is slow.
When the phone rings and you grab the receiver to say hello, it takes about a second for the connection to actually be made after going off hook, just enough to make you have to say "hello" twice because the caller didnt hear you the first time. The incoming CO light also remains red for that 1 second also. Sounds minor, but try explaining it to a client whose phone system you just "upgraded". This has been the case on all 824s we have installed so far.
