You need the time for caller ID to send the info to the system. WCID needs to be set to enough time to get the caller ID into the system. The call ID info comes in right after the first ring of the Central office line as you hear the line ring with a phone across the phone line, not the PBX. Each ring CYCLE consists of one quiet and one ring, total 5 seconds. When you call someone, the ringing in your ear is actually the silent period at the other end. WCID gets that info in during it's time period. I would set yoy DIL 1:1 to EXT 165, your calls will answer right awayand call ID will be at your phone. I set the callID to about 7 seconds and work downward to a good number, ususlly 5 seconds. Brad

That's the first 6 seconds of your call before it rings the VM port and I guess the other 6 seconds is the first ring on the VM. Maybe there's a command to answer BEFORE it rings :-) >Also can i do the programming from the phone Well, when you dial the VM port, does it answer on the first ring? If it does, then check to make sure there are no delays in 411-413 for the port. Hang a s/l set on the port and call in. Outside of that, there's not much else you can do, and yes, it can be programmed from a phone as long as the VM is behaving.
