I have a Panasonic KX-TD816AL (Australian version) which I would like to use with caller ID. Currently, the system is being used with analogue lines, as I do not have an ISDN service available.
Can someone please explain, first of all, if it is even possible to use caller ID on an analogue line with this system? I want the caller ID to come up on the proprietary telephones of the system, don't care about analogue phones as I don't use any. Every time I ring up my dealer I get a different answer to these questions. I actually rang up the phone company and got them to add caller ID to the service, and it didn't work, so I'm guessing that I need the KX-TD193 card? Or is this card only for analogue extensions and not analogue lines? If so, is there another card that will do the job? Thanks for any assistance.
