I just connected a Valcom 1030C horn speaker to paging port 1 on a KX-TD 1232-6. I cannot get this to work.
I am using icm 330 to try and page via the new speaker. Is this correct? In the programming, under Musinc and Paging, it shows External Paging 1 as Ext 196. If I try using Ext 196, I get "Invalid" response. Does the 1232 need to be restarted when connecting a new paging device? The Valcom 1030C has a built in amp and volume control. I have the volume there set at about 1/2 or slightly higher. The cable run for the power supply is only about 20 ft. The run for the connection to the 1232 is about 120 feet or so. This speaker was purchased used but according to owner, it was working when removed from warehouse. I had to purchase the power supply for it. Mike Wasilewski Five Star Services, Inc.
